Imran Khan has directed his party workers to leave their homes under an agenda that calls for the dismissal of all cases against him, the declaration of the 8th February 2024 general elections as rigged, and his recognition as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Following this, Khan is expected to initiate mass protests.

On the other hand, the current government and military establishment have shown no willingness to engage in dialogue with Imran Khan. Both the Punjab and federal governments are reportedly well-prepared to counter any attempts at unrest or insurgency, particularly by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur. Gandapur is said to have formed a "Jihad Force" of 12,000 fully trained and armed men from Afghanistan and KP. This claim has reportedly been endorsed by the former First Lady, Bushra Bibi.

In response, law enforcement agencies, along with both the federal and Punjab governments, have issued stern warnings, vowing to deal with any adventurism without mercy. Today, Bushra Bibi's controversial statements, including criticisms of Saudi Arabia—a nation many Pakistanis, especially PTI supporters, had hoped would intervene to secure Khan's release from jail—were widely broadcast on mainstream and social media.

A significant development came from the Islamabad High Court, which has ruled that no rallies or sit-ins will be allowed in Islamabad, citing concerns from the business communities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

If the Chief Minister of KP proceeds with his plan and forces attempt to cross the Attock Bridge, a major confrontation is likely. Such an outcome could mark the final blow to PTI's political standing.
